From First Steps To Confident Performers

Mini Groover’s is a fun, creative dance education program for girls and boys that promotes physical, intellectual and social development through jazz, acro and ballet classes.

At Dance Power we believe that taking a creative movement approach to teaching preschool dance encourages imagination, expression, growth and development. That’s why we have carefully created our own unique Mini Groovers dance program that has solid foundations in early childhood education.

Our Mini Groovers preschool dance program is delivered by fully qualified, friendly and passionate dance teachers in a safe, caring and encouraging environment. Your child will have the option of performing their age appropriate dances at our end of year concerts.

Mini Groover’s Jazz & Acro

An upbeat class that includes both Jazz and Acro. With a major emphasis on fun and creating confident little people, this class is the first stepping stone on your child’s dance journey. This class is the perfect way to start developing the co-ordination skills that form technique foundations and are the basics of dance classes. Children are taught safely the basics of acro which will help them develop gross motor skills, as well as stretching and strengthening exercises. This class is not only an introduction to dance but a place to grow, learn and make friends.

Mini Groover’s Ballet

A unique ballet class for all our aspiring ballerina’s. This program was created to make Ballet really fun for our youngest students. Introduce your child to the magical world of Ballet in a class that incorporates magic wands, fairy dust, ribbons, teddy’s and feathers.

Q and A

#1 - CAN PARENTS WATCH THE CLASS?
We have found that our students focus better in class and learn more when they can be in the studio without any distractions. We have a variety of strategies and processes to help ease separation anxiety. Parents are welcome to wait in our comfortable waiting room and we encourage parents to stay until their child is settled and happy.

#2 - HOW DO WE PAY?
Parents can choose between our convenient Autopay option (where you can set up automatic recurring monthly payments) or pay with cash, card or through our online portal. We like to keep it simple and stress-free.

#3 - WHAT HAPPENS IF WE TRY IT AND MY CHILD DECIDES THAT THEY DON'T WANT TO DANCE ANY MORE, HOW DO WE STOP?
We have a two week money-back satisfaction guarantee for all Mini Groover students. Additionally enrolment can be cancelled at anytime throughout the year with four weeks notice. There is no cancellation fee. Just email us to cancel your class.

#4 - WHAT DO THEY WEAR?
The cute MINI GROOVERS uniform is available from the studio. We have a full range of sizes in stock.

>> For Tutu and Tiaras and Let's Dance classes the students need:
• Mini Groovers dress
• Pink leather Ballet Shoes
• Bow for hair optional

If this is your child’s time doing dancing, you may like to wait a couple of weeks to make sure they really love it before ordering uniform and dance shoes. It’s perfectly ok for the kids to wear their normal sandshoes and their regular clothes to class during the first couple of weeks. We totally understand.

#5 - WHAT HAPPENS IF WE HAVE TO MISS A LESSON?
No Problems. We have another session in the weekly schedule, so your child can attend any of the other classes as a makeup lesson. Just let the Susan know and we can book in the make up. Towards the end of the year this is more difficult because each of the classes learn a different routine for the concert.

#6 - IS THERE A PERFORMANCE AT THE END OF THE YEAR?
Yes, the magical concert experience is the best part of being a dancer. Our Mini Groover’s are the stars of our show every year.
